2009 Holiday Card Contest Winners

MARS NATIONAL BANK SUPPORTS ARTS EDUCATION

 

Mars National Bank recently conducted its Sixth Annual Holiday Card Contest by inviting children Kindergarten through Fourth grade from Seneca Valley, Mars, Knoch, Deer Lakes, Hampton and Pine-Richland to create a drawing or painting of their favorite holiday scene. 

 This year, Gwenyth Brennan, seven years old and a student at Mars Elementary School was the first-place winner.  Her design will be used as the 2009 Mars National Bank Holiday Card.   Gwenyth received a $200 United States Savings Bond for her achievement.  In addition, Mars Elementary School was awarded $500 for the art education department.

 Four other students placed in the contest this year.  Second place was awarded to Zach Leachman, age eight of Mars Elementary, and Macey Wright, Age nine of Mars Elementary captured third place.  Chloe Ceasar, age six of Mars Primary Center placed fourth and Eli Wright, age five also from Mars Primary Center placed fifth.  Each student received a United States Savings Bond for their efforts.
